Darhani is an elegant riad in the heart of the Marrakech Medina.

It has a central courtyard and plunge pool, and has been decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout, mixing the traditional with the modern to create a chic and original style. Darhani, which means "house of tranquility" is located virtually in the centre of the Medina, a few minutes walk from the souks and less than 10 minutes from the magic of the legendary Jemaa El Fna, a haphazard marketplace by day, but at dusk, transformed into a nocturnal carnival of performers, and the world’s most amazing outside dining area, where you can just observe this fascinating spectacle, or sample the vast array of dining experiences.

There are 4 good-sized air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a safe for personal effects, and heating for winter nights. One of the nicest features of Darhani is the feeling of space with it's 3 sitting rooms and a music room with a piano. There is also a large terrace with a view to the Atlas Mountains in the south, with a sumptuous tent to gaze at the stars, hide from the sun, or relax over a drink in the evening. The plunge pool forms the centre of the courtyard.

We have a vegetarian menu with a good selection of meals.

The house is English-owned and there is a local english host, to give advice on places to visit and where to eat. For those that wish to relax at home, Moroccan or western style meals (lunch and dinner) can be prepared by the house's cook. We can arrange for an English speaking taxi driver to meet you at the airport.

All rooms include breakfast, and prices range from 80-115 euros per night per room (except high season).
